On June 17, the world's longest onshore wind turbine blade rolled off the line at Mingyang Smart Energy's Xinyang base.
According to Yin Quan, director of the Blades factory of Henan Mingyang Intelligent Energy Co. , Ltd. , the 105m wind turbine blades being rolled off the line in Xinyang are currently the world's longest onshore wind turbine blades. After installation, the impeller diameter of 216 meters, sweeping area of nearly 37,000 square meters, equivalent to the area of 5 football fields. The blades can further improve the efficiency of power generation at low wind speeds, generating 7,000 degrees of electricity per hour when the units are full. At 300 kilowatt-hours a month for a household, a fan fitted with such blades can produce enough electricity in an hour to power a household for two years.
Mingyang Intelligent Energy Co. , Ltd. is the leading wind power enterprise in Henan province. In recent years, through continuous innovation, Mingyang has a 12.4% share of the national smart power market, and the Xinyang base was once the largest onshore wind power equipment manufacturing base in the country with the largest Gross leasable area and stand-alone capacity, its products have been exported to Pakistan, South , Europe, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions.
